I have arthritis in my neck so I buy a new pillow every few months. When I saw this pillow on Amazon I decided to try it since it was so reasonably priced and I had never tried the gel ones. Boy! It is excellent to sleep on. I sleep on my side and it has good body but is still soft. I like the fact you can alternate sides and get a little more firmness with the memory foam. I previously owned a wamsutta gel pillow (firm in its category) and was looking for something similar and possibly a little firmer. I have neck problems and this supports my head and neck comfortably. I didn't notice any funky smell that some people have reported. If you're looking for a very firm pillow, this is not for you, but if you enjoy a soft pillow that holds its shape and gives some support, this is your pillow.
